You can now make audio and video calls on social network X. About it reports the owner of the social network, Elon Musk, in his account on the platform.
To allow audio and video calls, you need to enable this feature in the settings. There you can also specify from whom you can receive calls – from all users, subscribers, or only people from the address book. To start a call, you need to open a chat with the user, click on the call icon in the upper right corner of the application, and then select an audio or video call.
According to Elon Musk, this is an early version of the feature. Previously, he repeatedly stated that audio and video calls would appear on the service and that to use the new function, you would not need to link a phone number. The company has been testing the new feature since July 2023.
Earlier, a new type of disguised clickbait advertising appeared on social network X, which is not labeled. The platform is also testing a new way of publishing posts with links to news articles: now they will not have headings, only a clickable image and a short description will remain.
