“Doctor Bo” and Lions Club Provide Traditional Thai Medicine and Free Vaccinations on International Lions Day

October 27, 2023 – General Atthaporn Bosuwan, also known as “Dr. Bo,” a former director of the Royal Initiative Project Coordination Office and security of the Royal Thai Army, led a team of Thai traditional medicine practitioners to provide medical aid and free influenza vaccinations on International Lions Day. Together with the Ratchayothin Lions Club and Lions Foundation in Thailand, they aimed to educate patients about traditional Thai herbs and self-medication.

The event aimed to enhance knowledge and understanding of the use of herbs, marijuana, and hemp for medical purposes. Medical professionals, including Lt. Col. Thanaphon Kongnoi and Dr. Nok Noi, participated in the event. Furthermore, Oat Surasak Chotitinwat, a well-known actor from Channel 7, joined “Dr. Bo” to support and encourage patients.

The Thai traditional medicine team provided guidance on maintaining good health and preventing illnesses, including cancer, Parkinson’s disease, psoriasis, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, shingles, and herpes. They also distributed cannabis and hemp extracts to patients who could benefit from them. Those who experienced sickness due to COVID-19 or COVID-19 vaccines were given five real roots of medicine for self-treatment at home.

Speaking about the event, General Atthaporn expressed his desire to provide Thai traditional medicine to all patients seeking treatment. He emphasized the importance of helping patients regain their lives, maintain good mental health, and live happily. The team’s ultimate goal is to contribute a royal merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and improve the quality of life for all Thai citizens, especially those in remote areas.

Oat Surasak, the actor who accompanied the traditional medicine team, encouraged everyone to support and join the mission of educating and treating sick individuals across Thailand.

Lt. Col. Thanaphon Kongnoi, a medical instructor of the Thai traditional medicine team, highlighted the significance of using traditional Thai herbs for self-treatment. He emphasized that patients with diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s can use cannabis extracts at home, leading to positive outcomes reported by some patients. These success stories inspire the team to continue their duty of educating and treating patients.

On International Lions Service Day, the team treated 51 patients suffering from various illnesses such as brainstem cancer, breast cancer, psoriasis, office syndrome, diabetes, high blood pressure, vertigo, symptoms from COVID-19, symptoms resulting from the COVID-19 vaccination, and herniated disc disease. Additionally, 162 individuals showed interest in receiving the free flu vaccine, primarily residents and workers in the Sukhumvit community.

The collaboration between “Doctor Bo” and the Lions Club has made a significant impact in promoting traditional Thai medicine and providing vital healthcare services to those in need. Their unwavering commitment to helping patients and improving society sets an admirable example for the entire nation.]
