During a major security operation on Avenue de la République in Nîmes, numerous prohibited products and 51 reports for traffic offenses were drawn up. It was carried out by the national police, with the support of the municipal police and agents of Tango, the public transport network of the prefecture of Nîmes and its agglomeration.
In addition to the counterfeit cigarettes (around 900 packets), officers seized twenty-one packets of Kamagra. This sexual stimulant, manufactured in India, is often wrongly associated with generic Viagra. Unlike the famous blue pill, and its generic, Sildenafil, which can only be delivered with a medical prescription, its sale is prohibited in France and Europe.
A product considered illicit
Kamagra is not part of the list of pharmaceutical products authorized to be sold in France by the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products. As such, it is considered a counterfeit and illegal product.
