Kia has published photos of the updated Carnival minivan. The car will go on sale in the South Korean market in November 2023. Prices for the new product will be announced later, Day.Az reports with reference to Autonews.

After restyling, the Carnival became similar to the updated Sorento crossover. The minivan received complex-shaped front LED optics, a new radiator grille, different bumpers, roof rails and boomerang-shaped lights.

Photos of the interior have not yet been provided. The interior design is expected to resemble the updated K5 sedan. In this case, Carnival will be equipped with two 12.3-inch screens of an upgraded multimedia system combined into one unit and a special washer instead of the traditional gear shift lever.

The main technical innovation is a hybrid power plant based on a 1.6-liter turbo engine. The power of such a minivan will be approximately 230 hp.

The Kia Carnival minivan was previously officially sold on the Russian market. The car was offered with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine producing 199 hp. It was also possible to buy the car with a 249-horsepower V6 naturally aspirated petrol unit. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Last year, the Korean company suspended its activities in Russia. Since then, models of the brand have been imported by dealers on a frequent basis, including using a parallel import scheme.
