Standing in his stirrups, Florent Bayle lets out his joy as he passes the post on the Compiègne racecourse. The 46th participation will therefore have been the right one for the jockey who signs a first success at this level like his partner, Fundam (n° 13). A model of consistency, the latter won the second victory of his career for Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé’s training which placed another representative in the first three, Slowly (n° 16).
Close to the head of the race, Fundam began his effort at the exit of the final turn, took the measure of the favorite, Iban Roque (n° 8), who completely weakened, and a clear advantage after the jump of the last hurdle , easily repelling the attack of Garrick Harmony (n° 7).
Always seen at the forefront, Numerus Borget (n° 6) finished fourth, ahead of Rock and Roll (n° 10). Note the remarkable end of the race for Idéal du Chênet (n° 11), seventh.
