Man hit and injured by tree while working in the forest

On Saturday afternoon, a 60-year-old was injured to an unspecified degree while working in the forest following storm damage in the municipality of Göriach.

According to a release from the Salzburg State Police Department, a tree that was under tension came loose and hit the 60-year-old in the body. The injured man was rescued by the Tamsweg mountain rescue service, given first aid by the emergency doctor and flown to the Kardinal Schwarzenberg Clinic in Schwarzach by emergency doctor helicopter.
