Golf courses should become environmentally friendly. Andreas Frey is exploring whether this can work at Titisee. The future of popular sports is at stake.
Elitist, wasteful, environmentally harmful – golf is the ideal target for climate activists. Attacks on carefully maintained facilities have been increasing for months. The perpetrators usually arrive at night. They dig up pitches, plant seedlings in the green or pour cement into the holes.

In Spain, several facilities were damaged in the summer, and in this country, activists on Sylt and Osnabrück left clear traces of protest – and clear messages on banners. “Your luxury = our water shortage” or “Golf has no place in a world without water”.
