Nationally, he was the star of ben 3 Italian Cup finals: Fiorentina-Milan (28 June 1975), Rome-Turin (17 May 1980) and again Turin-Rome (17 June 1981). In July 1976 he was selected for the Montreal Olympics while in 2020 it was included in the Hall of fame of Italian football and in July 2021 he was appointed meritorious manager AIA (Italian Referees Association) by the AIA national committee.
