According to the report, in recent days there have been discussions in the Ministry of Health regarding the validity of the green mark, which in the first vaccinees in the third dose is supposed to expire already. In the meantime, its validity has been extended until February 28, but it is possible that it will be completely canceled or undergo a significant change, similar to the purple mark that allows activities in a more controlled manner.
Many medical experts also think so in light of the situation. Prof. Gili Regev-Yohai from Sheba Medical Center presented the research findings of the fourth vaccine she led yesterday, and on the same occasion also announced that the green mark is no longer relevant in the face of reality.
Prof. Galia Rahav, director of the Infectious Diseases Unit at Sheba, also said that in her opinion the green label should be abolished: “I have long said that the green label is ridiculous at the moment, because there is currently no difference between vaccinated and unvaccinated.
