The Israeli startup Walnut, which announced the A round of recruitment less than six months ago, does not stop and announces today (Tuesday) the completion of the B round of recruitment – this time more than double $ 35 million. The round was led by Felicis Ventures, and was attended by several interesting investors such as the CEO and founder of Papaya Global, Einat Gaz; Fireblocks founder and CEO, Michael Shaulov; Ariel Cohen, Founder and CEO of TripActions; And Sarah Franklin, president of Salesforce.

Adobe and Dell are already using it

Walnut’s platform enables technology company sales reps to produce cloud demonstrations of products – independent of the company’s other teams. The salesperson for example can prepare himself, without any knowledge of the code, the demo tailored to his customer, create templates, and facilitate all the parts in the sales chain. For example, he can with one click duplicate a SaaS product and turn it into a live demo that can not crash in the moment of truth, and match it to the customer he is about to meet. The platform also provides demo process data and analytics that help improve it.

Walent was founded in 2020, after the outbreak of the corona crisis, by Yoav Wilner, the company’s CEO, and Danny Friedland, VP of technology. Wilner was a member of L1ght’s founding team alongside Zohar Lewkowicz and startup Ranky, while Friedland is a co-founder of Gifts Project acquired by eBay in 2011, and Jaco acquired by Walkme in 2017. The company currently employs 55 people in its offices in Israel, the United States and London.

In conversation with Giktiim Wilner says that although only 4 months have passed since the previous round of recruitment, the company has moved quite a bit: from a significant increase to 100 large customers (including Fortune 500 companies such as Dell, Adobe and more), to the joining of a number of interesting VPs (Wilner refuses to reveal Their name at this stage) and up to revenues that have increased 7 times.

Walent manages to attract quite interesting investors around it during the short two years it has been in existence. As you may recall, in the previous round, it invested in Eight Roads Ventures, which in 1999 was one of the first to invest in a young startup that may be known to you today as Alibaba; In the lime round, the company managed to raise funds from Ron Conway’s SV Angel, “The Godfather of Silicon Valley” – which also invested in Slack, Twitch, Dropbox, Coinbase and many more goodies; Gigi Levi-Weiss; Wix CEO and also Joe Montana, the legendary football player.

A good old age

Born with a joystick in hand. He has far too many gadgets and far too little free time to play with them all. An unexplained hammer holder for calibrating device batteries. When he’s not busy writing about technology, he likes to talk about it, and a lot
