At the end of October, an alternative referendum took place in Hungary for the first time.

After the referendum, activists from the United Student Front and aHang held a press conference to share their key experiences and announce actions for the near future.

After eight days, the first alternative referendum ended on October 30th, in which everyone aged 16 and over could have a say in the Hungarian education system. The organizers had set a preliminary goal of 200,000 signatures. This is the number of signatures that are also required for a traditional referendum.

On November 17, on the occasion of International Student Day, a nationwide campaign will be held aimed at disseminating the results of the referendum in as many schools as possible.
