EDITED – Given that, under their leadership, Charlie Hebdo was an investigative journal which, as such, provided and relayed factual elements which made it possible to cast doubt on the authenticity of the “proof” in the Omar Raddad affair (1): the inscription “Omar killed me” allegedly written on a wall by the victim, a very elderly lady, with her own blood, to designate her murderer, this with a spelling error so enormous that “yOnly one cop can do that!” Coluche would have said! Taking this into account, therefore, the mention “Stupid killed me” preceded by Riss, is most certainly a formula that Cavanna and Professor Choron would validate as an epitaph on the tomb of Charlie Hebdo, newspaper whose soul has just been further reduced by the man who has been its publishing director since May 2009 (first in tandem with Charb) and its owner, the cartoonist Riss, whose real name is Laurent Sourisseau.
Yes, a gigantic obstacle put in place by its creators between censorship and freedom of expression, an obstacle that we believed to be insurmountable since its victorious exit from the attack of January 7, 2015, an attack during which the essential members of its line director were murdered…
The mountain Charlie Hebdo gave birth to a mouse after the last media outing (on X) of its current publishing director. Let’s even say that freedom of expression has just suffered an attempted homicide by a Sourisseau…
Indeed, if Charlie Hebdo was created in November 1970 by François Cavanna and Professor Choron, it was to replace the weekly version of Hara-Kiritheir hyper-satirical monthly magazine which had just been banned following a title that was said to be “teasing” on the death of General de Gaulle: “ Tragic ball in Colombey: one dead! »
And confirming what it appears on Wikipedia, under the direction of Cavanna and Professor Choron, Charlie Hebdo has shown himself to be a staunch defender of press freedom.
Now if, already, regarding the “total” freedom of expression that this newspaper demanded, Charlie Hebdo then showed variable geometry considerations on this subject, Riss has just given him the final blow since here is the initiative he took: associate Charlie to the call for censorship of Twitter which was made via #NoTwitterDay by the claimed supporters of anti-freedom of expression who are Rudy Reichstadt, Julien Pain and Tristan Mendès France.

This is indeed one hell of a “soul kick” from Cavanna, Professor Choron and their original journal.
Riss unfortunately managed to do what the Kouachi brothers had not succeeded, despite the assassination of people who, yes, knew how to prove themselves worthy heirs of the creators of Charlie Hebdonotably the cartoonists Cabu, Charb and Wolinski: stripCharlie Hebdoof his last trappings of insubordination and defense of freedom.
Therefore, how can we not agree with Monique Plaza and the tweet she published yesterday, in response to that of Riss:
End of game for Charlie Hebdo, which betrays its supposed attachment to freedom of expression by siding with the censors, the ayatollahs of “truth”, in the name of a very crude hatred of Elon Musk.
