In collaboration with the Berlinale and the Deutsche Kinemathek, the Kulturforum Berlin is exhibiting around 300 original film posters from the 1900s to the 2020s.

Chatrian chose the poster for the 2011 documentary “Pina” about the work of dance icon Pina Bausch. Tabatabai chose the poster for the trash classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” from 1975. Another highlight of the exhibition is the original French poster for the German silent film classic “Metropolis” from 1927. The 300 posters come from the art library’s graphic design collection, which includes around 5,000 pieces, as Moritz Wullen, director of the art library, said on Wednesday. The exhibition opens on November 2nd and runs until March 3rd.
