The microblogging service Threads (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is banned) is developing a new feature, thanks to which social network posts will no longer be shown to Facebook and Instagram users. About it reports The Verge with reference to one of the company’s engineers.
The “Suggest posts to other apps” feature will appear in the Threads settings. There you can allow or block the display of user posts on both Instagram and Facebook. You will be given the choice to block or allow posts to be offered to one or both applications. Currently, Instagram and Facebook users’ feeds show recommended posts from Threads, Meta’s way of promoting its app, which recently claimed 100 million monthly users.
Earlier, the Threads social network introduced a button for editing posts. Users were also able to switch between accounts in the application.
