UEFA joins forces with L’Équipe and France Football to co-organize the Ballon d’Or awards

The UEFA and the Amaury Groupmedia owner France Football and The Teamannounced this Friday an alliance to co-organize the gala of the Golden Ball from 2024, with the aim of reinforcing the stature and global reach of these awards, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration within the football community.

According to the official statement from the highest football body, the agreement establishes that Groupe Amaury remains the owner of the Ballon d’Or brand and that it “will continue to supervise the voting system, which will remain unaltered and independent”, and that UEFA will will be responsible for marketing global commercial rights and organizing the annual awards gala.

Likewise, the new awards of the established program were made public: Coach of the Year and Coach of the Year, maintaining in the list the Men’s Ballon d’Or, Women’s Ballon d’Or, Kopa Trophy, Yashin Trophy, Gerd Müller Trophy, Men’s Club Trophy the Season, Women’s Club Trophy of the Season and the Socrates Award.
