India captain KL Rahul will open the ODI series against South Africa. KL Rahul will take over as opener after India’s ODI captain and opener Rohit Sharma was injured. Captain KL Rahul is open-minded about the Indian ODI team combination and leading the team for the first time.
He said he had not thought about becoming India’s Test captain but would lead the team if given the chance yet and try to continue the legacy. He was given the opportunity to lead the Indian team in the Johannesburg Test. The result of the match did not come as expected but it was a special experience.
I want to watch each match one by one in ODIs. “My goal is to stay balanced in terms of captaincy and only take one match at a time,” he said. Moon has played under captains Dhoni and Virat Kohli. I was able to learn a lot when I led the team in the second Test.
