It resonates in the Roman Ghetto the nickname of Giggetto has been known for a century, since in 1923 Luigi Ceccarelli together with his wife Ines, purchased an inn that over time became the Roman Jewish cuisine restaurant that bears his name. We are in the Jewish quarter of Rome, next to the Portico d’Ottavia, remains of the complex wanted by the emperor Augustus to pay homage to his sister; portico which from the Middle Ages was used for the fish market, identifying the area as a fish market.
