The National Police have arrested three people, including the mother of a baby, for throwing the newborn, who died last Thursday in the Majorcan town of Porto Cristo, into a garbage container.

Police sources have confirmed that the girl was born prematurely, although they have not specified whether she was still alive when she was abandoned in the garbage nor have they provided information about the relationship between the mother and the other two detainees.
