Awarded the work of the new vas beach of the Port of Seville in Palmas Altas

For an amount of 6.4 million euros

The Port Authority of Seville has awarded the construction of a new direct rail access for 6.4 million euros to the consortium formed by Magtel OperacionesyExtraco, Construccions e Proxectos. It is a three-lane beach in Palmas Altas with the capacity to accommodate train traffic 750 meters long.

The works will begin at the end of the year and have a completion period of sixteen months. The new infrastructure in Palmas Altas consists of a three-lane beach that will have capacity for 750-meter-long trains.

Its location will be close to the Cuarto dock, the Tablada dock and the Centenario Dock railway terminal and will serve to improve the operations of the Port of Seville. Once in service, it will allow several actions to be carried out simultaneously and the passage and waiting time will be reduced. The project, designed by Idom Consulting Engineering, went out to tender at the end of June (see news).
