Notable attendees included Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, Brad Pitt, A$AP Rocky, Blackpink’s Rosé, Billie Eilish, Keanu Reeves, Andrew Garfield, Jessica Chastain, and Pedro Pascal, among others.

The gala, co-chaired by DiCaprio and Eva Chow, celebrates a visual artist and a film director each year, bridging the worlds of cinema and fine art. Fincher, in his speech, emphasized the importance of pushing the boundaries of cinema while acknowledging the enduring power of the medium.

Baca, known for her half-mile-long mural the Great Wall of Los Angeles, was introduced by Eva Longoria. Baca’s work focuses on creating community-based public art projects and using art as a tool for social change and justice. She is currently working on expanding the Great Wall of Los Angeles to a mile in length.

The evening also featured a dinner prepared by Michelin-star chef Mattia Agazzi of Gucci Osteria, in collaboration with chef Joachim Splichal. Guests enjoyed conversations centered on the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike and the state of the industry. LACMA CEO and director Michael Govan provided an update on the progress of the new Peter Zumthor-designed museum building, which is currently 70% finished.
