1.7 million albums sold in one week: Taylor Swift has broken her own record with her new album “1989” (Taylor’s Version). Only Adele has ever sold more albums in a week.

US-Popstar Taylor Swift has set another record with her album “1989 (Taylor’s Version). Never before has the 33-year-old sold so many albums in one week, as the US magazine Billboard reported. Accordingly, the album sold almost 1 in its opening week, 7 million sales.

She set the previous record in 2014 with the original album “1989,” which sold almost 1.3 million copies in its launch week. It is also the most sales within a week since Adele’s “25”, with which the British singer achieved a figure of almost 3.5 million in its debut week in 2015. According to the information, it is also Swift’s 13th album at number one on the charts.

The singer only set a record on Spotify at the end of October: On October 27th, Swift became the most streamed act within one day in Spotify history, as the music streaming market leader announced on the online platform X (formerly Twitter). In addition, her new album “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” has become the most streamed album on a single day this year.
