A well-known athlete in Voronezh Elena Mamedova is preparing to take part in the women’s doubles competition as a speeder. The coaching staff of the Russian national bobsleigh team has included the Voronezh athlete in the list of participants in the Beijing Olympics, which will be held from February 13 to 20 in the Xiaohaito luge and bobsleigh center. This was reported on January 18 by the official website of the Russian Olympic Committee.
Elena’s compatriots were inspired by the information that athletes Nadezhda Sergeeva and Anastasia Makarova will pilot the sled for the honor of Russia, and Elena Mamedova, together with Yulia Belomestnykh, will have to disperse the crew.
