Cofidis recruits Frenchman Elissonde and Belgian Hermans

Kenny Elissonde, 32, and Ben Hermans, 37, join the Cofidis team for next season.

The Cofidis cycling team announced on Monday the recruitment of two experienced riders, the Frenchman Kenny Elissonde and the Belgian Ben Hermans, for next season.

Elissonde, 32, “wanted to return to a French team”, after four years at Lidl-Trek, to shine more particularly in stage races alongside Guillaume Martin in particular.

Hermans, 37, from Israel-PT, brings an all-terrain profile, with 19 victories to his name.

Both riders signed for one season.
