Ludo Pauchant receives the general director of the event, Nicolas Vignolles, Raphaël Lucas, journalist and editor-in-chief of Jeux Vidéo Magazine and Ken Bogard, esport competition commentator.

For five days, the largest video game and esports exhibition was held at Porte de Versailles in Paris. Paris Games Week welcomed around 200,000 visitors this week, who came to test end-of-year games and new video game releases to come.

Video games, “a French passion”

Holding this show is an opportunity to highlight the considerable number of French people who are fans of video games. According to a new France Esports barometer, produced by Médiamétrie, 12 million French people say they are fans of esports.

Especially since this event has once again confirmed its attractiveness and popularity, not only among young people. This is evidenced by the seniors trophy, a competition reserved for the oldest which was held on Friday November 3.

The general director of Paris Games Week, Nicolas Vignolles, specifies on franceinfo that “middle age [des joueurs de jeux vidéos] in France is 40 years old (…), it’s a French passion, video games”.
