This Monday the “DPI Mornings” plan began, implemented by the National Registry of Persons (Renap) with the purpose of delivering the personal identification document (DPI) in 45 minutes. The service will be available from Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., from November 6 to December 20, 2023, at the headquarters located at 13-46 Roosevelt Road, zone 7.

Regularly, Renap delivers this document within an established period of 30 business days, from the day of the request, but with this modality, Guatemalans who request the procedure at the headquarters, as well as in the offices located in Quetzaltenango and Zacapa, You will be able to have your DPI in just 45 minutes.
At the Quetzaltenango and Zacapa headquarters, the DPI is delivered in 45 minutes during the normal working day, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Therefore, users from nearby towns are invited to come and carry out their procedure.

ABOUT DPI
The DPI is a public, personal and non-transferable document of an official nature. All Guatemalans and domiciled foreigners, registered with Renap, have the right to request and obtain the DPI. This will be the only document for all civil, administrative and legal acts, and in general for all cases in which it is required by law.
