You might have also seen an old man begging on the road or selling balloons to a child. There are many people among us in the society who are deprived of even the basic needs like food, clothing and shelter.
It is our responsibility to come forward to help them and try to bring as much change in their lives as we can. This help can be provided in a number of ways; You can make their day by buying them things, offering them a cup of tea, or even saying a few sweet words.
All that is needed is compassion in the heart and love for people. Fulfilling the very basic need of food, we tried to connect with many such people and understand them.
Because if children and elders remain healthy after having a full stomach and proper food, only then their lives will improve and this society will be able to be built.

Initiative of The Better India and Swapna Foundation
The Better India took the initiative to spread happiness to people through food and started #ServeHappiness. Swapna Foundation, a reputed NGO of Lucknow which has been running since 2019, supported us in this.
The team of Swapna Foundation went to the streets and settlements of Lucknow, Delhi, Mathura and Unnao and distributed food to the people. With the aim that ration and food can reach the homes of as many needy people as possible. So that small children do not have to wander on the streets, and poor families do not have to sleep hungry.
In just four days, we visited eight settlements and provided food to 560 people. Apart from this, we were able to reach out to distribute thali to destitute and forced people to spend the night on the streets.
We were also able to provide one meal to 140 hardworking people who toil all day long by working as laborers and driving rickshaws to earn two meals a day.
