Sara Domínguez, Technical Projects and Studies of the MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN Confederation, explains that “Until now, the proposed training has only gone to professionals from the entities of the associative movement. Its objective is to provide them with tools to be able to accompany and guide the users of the entities in the work of undertaking and entering the labor market.” “This is the first time – Domínguez points out – that training has been developed, in this case, for women with their own experience in mental health.”

Under the name of ‘Weaving knowledge’, This training has sought to go beyond entrepreneurship in the workplace, with content designed to achieve entrepreneurial motivation from a personal, vital, feminist and empowerment perspective for women with mental health problems. The idea is based on the premise that “You cannot undertake work if you first do not know how to take actions that allow us self-knowledge, self-care and care for our environment. From there, projects based on respect, flexibility and accessibility for women with mental health problems or psychosocial disabilities can begin to emerge.”, points out Domínguez. In this sense, a decalogue has emerged from the training, built collectively by all the participants, with the keys to building jobs that put the well-being of the person at the center. Among these keys, the participants demand flexible work times, adapted to their needs and in friendly, safe and stigma-free spaces, in which empathy is encouraged.
