The Emir of the North, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, recently witnessed the signing of a significant agreement between health affairs in the Northern Border Region and the “Sakina” Association for Promoting Mental Health. The agreement aims to establish a development program for a halfway house that will focus on rehabilitating individuals who have completed a treatment program at the mental health complex in Arar.
The cooperation agreement was signed by Alwan Al-Shamrani, the director of health affairs in the region, and Intisar Al-Anzi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Sakina” Association. The program will include rehabilitative and developmental courses, Hajj and Umrah trips, sports programs, recreational trips, and craft and vocational courses.
His Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan commended the efforts of both the health affairs in the region and the “Sakina” Association in promoting mental health and psychological support programs. He emphasized the importance of bridging the gap in mental health services and working towards a society where members enjoy psychological health and a good quality of life in alignment with the goals of “Saudi Vision 2030.”
The Emir urged a commitment to the principles and concepts of Saudi Vision 2030, emphasizing that its directions, goals, and programs should serve as a reference for all plans and activities in the region.
