The Institute for Seniors and Social Services (Imserso) includes this year in its travel program for people over 65 years of age Spaniards residing in some foreign countries to “encourage their active and healthy aging, prevent and fight against unwanted loneliness and contribute to the necessary maintenance of social and cultural ties with Spain. Specifically, it offers 4,000 places to pensioners of the Spanish Social Security system in Germany, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Holland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland.
Applications must be submitted to the corresponding Labor, Migration and Social Security departments in the diplomatic missions and permanent representations of Spain abroad until November 24. Afterwards, the Ministries will be in charge of checking whether the applicant meets the requirements established by the Government, which are the following:

– Be 60 or older and receive either a disability benefit or an unemployment benefit or subsidy from the Spanish Social Security system.

The ministries will send their lists of approved applications to Imserso before December 15.
