Title: Tamil Nadu Minister Shekhar Babu Asserts BJP Will Not Win Power in Dravidian Soil

On the occasion of Italian philosopher Veeramamuni’s birth anniversary, the Tamil Nadu government paid floral tributes today to his portrait placed under a statue at Marina beach in Chennai. The event was attended by Minister Shekharbabu, M. Subramanian, Saminathan, Mayor Priya, and other officials.

After the tribute, Minister Shekharbabu met with the media and addressed questions about BJP leader Annamalai’s remarks regarding the removal of the statue of Periyar in front of the Trichy Srirangam temple. Shekharbabu emphasized that the Tamil Nadu government is committed to accepting Hinduism along with the principles of Periyar, as the state is a place where both theists and atheists coexist.

Shekhar Babu made clear that the BJP would not come to power in Tamil Nadu, despite their efforts, such as IT raids and enforcement raids. He emphasized the strong Dravidian roots in the state and the unwavering support for the DMK regime. Minister Shekhar Babu also pointed out that the DMK government’s welfare programs have garnered an additional 20 percent in their vote bank, ensuring that the people of Tamil Nadu will not grant power to individuals like Annamalai.

He further accused the BJP of attempting to profit by dividing people along religious and caste lines, contrasting this with the DMK’s acceptance and embrace of Hinduism and spiritualists.

In conclusion, Minister Shekhar Babu emphasized that the BJP’s attempts to gain power in Tamil Nadu will be futile, as the state is firmly rooted in its Dravidian identity and will continue to support the DMK regime.
