About the nature of Switzerland

You shouldn’t actually say it out loud, but: Switzerland is cute. And what’s remarkable is that it hasn’t lost any of its cuteness over the past few years.

While the rest of Europe (the rest of the world, to be precise) has been shaken and divided by numerous changes, the hand of St. Peter’s moves across the face of Europe’s largest tower clock with the same serenity as ever.

Unlike the tower clock, I was out of sync with my regular visits due to the pandemic and was back in Zurich for the first time this summer.
