Dead by Daylight’s Latest Update Adds Chucky from Child’s Play
The latest chapter update for Dead by Daylight, a popular asymmetrical multiplayer game, is set to bring Chucky, the infamous doll-turned-serial-killer from the Child’s Play slasher-movie franchise, into the game as a Killer. The update is scheduled to be released on November 28.
Developer Behaviour Interactive has revealed that Chucky’s original voice actor, Brad Dourif, will be reprising his role in the game. In addition, players will have the option to further customize the new Killer with the Good Gal outfit, inspired by Tiffany Valentine (aka the Bride of Chucky), voiced by Jennifer Tilly.
Chucky will be adept at stealth, with a “Slice & Dice” ability that allows him to lunge at his larger victims to close the gap more efficiently. His human form, Charles Lee Ray, can assist him in spirit form, and his “Scamper” ability enables him to leap through windows and move under pallets.
In a re-review of Dead by Daylight in 2021, IGN called it “an incredible slasher film simulator, and the best asymmetrical multiplayer game around.”
