Following a racist incident involving a Crystal Palace fan with Son-Heung-minin May 2023, the Premier League decided to ban that same fan from sports venues for three years, the entity announced this Tuesday afternoon.
Despite, in the first instance, having been fined 1,590 euros and required 60 hours of community service, Tottenham appealed the decision and extended the sentence for this fan, who is banned from attending stadiums for the next three years.
“We appreciate the police’s contribution to this matter. We reiterate that the club does not tolerate any type of discrimination and will always seek to take heavy measures against those responsible”, reads the statement from the spurs.
The Club can confirm that a visiting supporter found guilty of making a discriminatory gesture towards Heung-Min Son during our home Premier League match against Crystal Palace in May has been handed a three-year football banning order following an appeal.
