Swedish Presidency Strengthens Efforts to Support Nuclear Power Industry in EU
Energy and Industry Minister Ebba Busch (KD) has hailed one of the biggest victories from the Swedish presidency as efforts to support and facilitate investments in the nuclear power industry in EU regulations were strengthened.
Busch emphasized the central role of creating a nuclear power alliance, despite facing resistance from other parts of the union’s member states. She noted that the alliance has continued to play a significant role in the negotiations that are currently underway.
“It is also another platform where I maintain ongoing contacts and where Sweden continues to be a player and a power factor within the EU. It is thanks to the nuclear power alliance,” said Busch to the Altinget.
