The February 3 Hydroelectric Power Plant was recently inaugurated by the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, which is located in the course of the Torola River, El Salvador.
During his inaugural speech, Bukele highlighted that this plant will contribute an additional 67 megawatts (MW) to the National Interconnected Electrical System.
The president also explained that the construction of the hydroelectric plant ended several months ago, however, the inauguration had been postponed because they were waiting for the dam’s reservoirs to reach their maximum water storage capacity.
