DEBRIEFING – Laurence Kayser is a gynecologist in Belgium. Defended by Maître Protat, she appeared this Tuesday, November 7 on appeal before the disciplinary chamber of the Order of Physicians.
At first instance, she received a three-month suspension for her outspokenness and her criticism of health policy. On appeal, the composition of the disciplinary chamber was made up of five magistrates and five doctors. Laurence Kayser was able to put forward her arguments in a hearing resembling “a play”, each camped on their respective positions.
Laurence Kayser also salutes the pharmacist Amine Umlil who received a disproportionate sanction for simply “having carried out pharmacovigilance”.
