(Reuters) – Federal deputy Aguinaldo Ribeiro (PP-PB), rapporteur of the tax reform in the Chamber, said on Thursday night that he preferred the matter to have what he called a faster promulgation, seeking to remove the term slicing from the discussion , as has been suggested by some parliamentarians.
Ribeiro stated that he does not like the expression “slicing”.
“I prefer to go for a faster promulgation if I have the technical conditions to do so,” he said, during an Itaú BBA event.
For the deputy, the slicing conveys the idea that the reform would be unfinished — which is not the intention of either the Chamber or the Senate.
