Israel and Gaza have been at war since October 7. International organizations, including the UN, often rely on these same figures as they are considered the best available. One of the most complete databases is updated daily by United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), which verifies the figures for both Gaza and Israel with at least one other source, according to its website. The NGO Human Rights Watch and many specialists in the conflict consider the figures provided by the Gaza ministry to be reliable, taking into account that they are based on data from hospitals and morgues.
