BTS’ Jung Kook Surprises Fans with Special Show in Times Square
Jung Kook, the 26-year-old superstar from BTS, gave fans an unexpected treat after the release of his highly anticipated solo album, “Golden.” The singer took the stage at TSX Entertainment, the first permanent stage located in the heart of New York City’s Times Square, to perform several songs from his album, dressed head-to-toe in Calvin Klein.
For fans who couldn’t attend the show in person, they were able to tune into Xbox’s Twitch channel where they had the chance to win custom Jung Kook Xbox Series X consoles and Game Pass codes.
TSX Entertainment co-CEO Nick Holmsten expressed his excitement about the event, stating, “We are honored to co-create this historic moment for Jung Kook and the entire BTS group. “Golden” was released on November 3 and features Jung Kook’s Billboard Hot 100 chart No. 1 hit single with Latto, “Seven,” as well as his new song with Jack Harlow, “3D.” Jung Kook has also expressed his excitement about performing his favorite song from the album, “Standing Next to You,” live.
The recording process for the song was difficult, but Jung Kook shared that it has a very special place in his heart. He has even asked fans to listen to it loudly on speakers rather than with headphones or smartphones.
