The French Exhibition Company (or Cofrex), dedicated to France’s participation in international exhibitions, will intervene as part of the Universal Exhibition which will be held from April 13 to October 13, 2025 in Osaka, Japan. On this occasion, it will rely on 250 people. Its president, Jacques Maire (61 years old, ENA), is also general commissioner of the France Pavilion. A career diplomat, he began his career on European issues and held responsibilities within the State. Elected MP in 2017, he was vice-president of the Foreign Affairs Committee, then president of the liberal group of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe until June 2022. Laurent Saillard (56 years old, ENA) is deputy director and deputy commissioner general. He worked at the Treasury, in the Budget Department, at Business France and at the French Embassy in Washington. Sophie Braincourt (54 years old, business law), ex-CM-CIC, Natixis, Raymond James, Bryan Garnier, is director of partnerships. Nathalie Mercier (55 years old, Efap, history of art and cinema) directs communications and programming. Ex-Quai Branly, she was the special advisor to the Secretary of State for People with Disabilities and the director of the 2023 wheelchair rugby world championships. Formerly of Sisley and Business Partners, Bruno de Laigue (58 years old, DPECF, Essec Executive, IHEDN) is financial director. Philippe Mille (59 years old, self-taught) is director of the France Pavilion. For Osaka 2025, he is responsible for its construction and the creation of the scenography, then he will manage the operation of the pavilion during the Universal Exhibition. Passed by UNESCO, Miriam Espino Alvarez (40 years old, master’s degree in European integration law and policies and master’s degree in translation and interpretation) is deputy director of partnerships. Édouard Regnier (33 years old, Special School of Architecture, Paris) is deputy director in charge of architecture and construction. He previously practiced in Shanghai.
