Exciting New Discovery: Researchers Find Positive Effects in Bee Venom

Most people associate bees with honey or pollen, but researchers have found that other bee products, such as venom, could be valuable in treating certain diseases.

According to Sergio Alvarez Barajas, a researcher at the University Center for Biological and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Guadalajara, bee venom has been found to alleviate ailments such as severe acne, varicose veins, and even reduce the effects of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

In a book published by the university center, Alvarez Barajas reveals the results of his more than 20 years of study with bees. The study involved the use of bee venom to treat severe facial acne in young students, resulting in nearly complete skin regeneration for 90 percent of the participants. The venom also proved effective in reducing varicose veins, restoring blood circulation without pain, and eliminating the dark color of the veins.

Barajas explained that bee venom contains 60 percent of a substance called melittin, which can destroy fatty acids stuck in the veins and facilitate the good transit of blood without leaving behind thrombosis-forming residues. In addition to its 65 percent concentration of melittin and low concentration of phospholipase, bee venom contains dopamine and adolapine, which are effective in relieving pain and reducing inflammation.

The study also found that the application of bee venom on HIV patients increased the production of CD4 lymphocytes by up to 1,000 units, significantly improving their immune systems and impacting their physical appearance and mood. However, Alvarez Barajas clarified that this progress does not mean that bee venom is a cure or a vaccine for HIV, as more research is needed to determine the potential positive and negative effects.

The book ‘The Book of Bees: Small Big Producers of Health, Between Life and Death’, published by CUCBA, is a free resource that compiles the various results of the therapeutic use of bee products. The book provides valuable knowledge about the biological world of these insects and the potential benefits for human health.

Overall, the study’s findings are an exciting development in the field of medical research and offer promising prospects for treating various ailments using bee venom. However, further research is necessary to fully understand its potential and to ensure the safety of its application on patients.]
