Man connected to royal family charged with procuring sex at massage parlor

A man with close ties to the royal family has been charged with procuring sex after a “double swipe” at a massage parlor.

Police are urgently searching for the man who must be served with suspicion before the statute of limitations expires next week, according to information from Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

During Friday, authorities searched for the man who is accused of buying sex to inform him of suspicion of crime. The case is statute-barred next week, but he has not been caught. Something that frustrates the police, according to Aftonbladet’s information. The suspect’s lawyer, Alparslan Tügel, said, “I have no comments.”

The massage parlor in question was a disguised brothel. During the police’s three-month reconnaissance effort, over 2,500 suspected sex purchases took place. One of the suspects in the tangle is a man with connections to the royal family.

The police conducted a long-term surveillance operation on the massage parlor located in Östermalm before taking action. During the search of the suspect’s home, police tracking dogs found traces of sperm, and the investigation revealed that a number of men had bought sex at the salon. A 65-year-old man has already been convicted of aggravated pimping in connection with the case.

Now, a man with close ties to the royal family has been charged on suspicion of buying sex at the same salon in November 2021. According to the police’s preliminary investigation, he first swiped 250 kroner and 40 minutes later another 1,000 kroner, indicating the purchase of sexual services, according to the prosecutor.

The man denies the accusations, claiming he visited the massage parlor to address his back problems. He alleges that he may have bought an ergonomic pillow or massage oil from Thailand, but authorities are skeptical.

Aftonbladet has sought the suspect for a comment and has also reached out to the court for further information. The case is evolving, and more details are expected as the investigation continues.
