DIG/ The start of work on the Ndendé-Doussala road section was at the center of the working session between the Minister of Economy and Participations, Mays Mouissi, and the Country Manager of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Nouridine Kane Dia , Monday November 6, 2023.
The ADB representative reassured the government member of the directives given to his teams with a view to prioritizing the processing of this file.
Also, he informed of certain preliminary phases necessary before the start of the work, in particular:
– the implementation of all due diligence in order to facilitate the firm’s mission and allow the availability of technical and architectural studies as quickly as possible;
– the payment of compensation in the context of expropriations before the start of work which should not take place before September 2024.
Minister Mouissi urged his host to do everything possible so that the work on this priority road, which falls within the framework of the Support Project for the Infrastructure Sector in Gabon (PASIG), can start within a reasonable time frame.
Nouridine Kane Dia also mentioned the validation by the new authorities of the Country Strategy Document (DSP) for the period 2023-2027 in order to allow a rapid launch of activities.
