For more than 30 years, Cerveza Gallo has been the official bringer of Christmas magic for all Guatemalans. Next November 18, the Rooster Tree Festival will open the doors to the most anticipated season of the year under the motto “Ignite the Best of You.”

Inaugural Event and Daily Shows
On November 18 at 7 p.m., the Gallo Tree in Plaza Obelisco will be illuminated with an impressive Christmas show, broadcast live on channel 3 and through Cerveza Gallo’s Facebook Live. To spread Christmas cheer, all Rooster Trees will be lit daily at 5:30 p.m., offering six musical shows of six minutes each.

The Rooster Tree Festival will illuminate more than 30 locations nationwide, including Obelisk Square, Chimaltenango, Mixco, Concepcion County, Amatitlan, Petén, Esquipulas, Port Barrios, Coban, Teculutan, Tactic, Guastatoya, Salama, Zacapa, Sanarate, Barberena, Chiquimulilla , Jalapa, Jutiapa, Tiquisate, St. Lucia Cotzumalguapa, Escuintla, New St. Rose of Lima, Malacatan, San Marcos, Huehuetenango, Retalhuleu, Coatepeque, Mazatenango, Quiche, Quetzaltenango and Solola.
News from the Rooster Tree Festival 2023
This year, the festival presents exciting new features, including the new lights of the Plaza Obelisco Tree with cutting-edge technology to form allegorical figures. In addition, decorations are incorporated on Avenida Reforma, Avenida Las Américas and Paseo la Sexta, adding a magical touch to the Christmas season.
Tradition in Packaging
As part of the tradition, Cerveza Gallo will dress its packaging with Christmas motifs, which can be found in 12oz cans, 16oz cans, returnable bottles, liters and 15 packs.

Family Celebration and Safety Measures
To guarantee a safe and familiar environment, there will be private perimeter security, the National Civil Police and the support of the Municipality of Guatemala. Attendees are encouraged to identify their children and arrive early to fully enjoy the event.
Vehicular Circulation and Cleaning
Alternate roads will be enabled to facilitate vehicular circulation and a cleaning plan will be implemented with garbage cans strategically located around Plaza Obelisco. This cleaning team will begin its work at the end of the event.
