The President of the Republic His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye presented Tuesday at the Bugabira Commune stadium, the new governor of the Kirundo province Police Colonel Victor SEGASAGO.
“When a leader is chosen, he must first know his population, his administrative entity and ask himself the question of how to develop it,” introduced President Ndayishimiye while recalling that development is possible everywhere.
“Every Burundian citizen is an asset for development. Only leaders must serve as guides and models,” insisted President Ndayishimiye, referring to Emerging Burundi in 2040.
“We are leading the fight for development and against injustice. This is why we are called to fight against fraud for the interest of the nation,” recalled the Head of State.
During these investiture ceremonies, the population expressed concerns related to the lack of drinking water through songs and dances. On this, the President of the Republic recommended to the new governor to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
President Ndayishimiye concluded by recalling that all organs of the province must strengthen collaboration with the defense forces, given that Kirundo is a province located on the border.
