Mayor José María Fraustro Siller led, together with the State Government and the DIF Saltillo, the thirty-second Macrobrigade of municipal and state services, bringing a wide range of services directly to the residents of the Tierra y Libertad neighborhood of the capital of Coahuila, as well as nearby neighborhoods.

From early on, the inhabitants of the eastern sector of Saltillo took advantage of the various available modules, this being the 32nd brigade so far this year. In a joint effort with Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme, Mayor Fraustro Siller highlighted the importance of bringing essential services closer to the community, eliminating barriers and expenses associated with traveling to government offices.

“With the support of Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme, we bring health, cultural and recreational services to the people of Saltillo to their homes, neighborhoods and ejidos, in addition to allowing them to carry out the most requested procedures and avoid expenses in their transfer, in addition to being able to obtain them at a lower cost,” said Fraustro Siller.

In addition to health, cultural and recreational services, the Municipal Government promotes cleanliness in homes by facilitating the exchange of recycling and waste material for products from the basic basket and cleaning supplies, thus contributing to the family economy and promoting culture of recycling.

The first lady, Beatriz Dávila de Fraustro, honorary president of the DIF Saltillo, joined the mayor in this initiative, along with key officials such as Javier Díaz González, secretary of Inclusion and Social Development; Roberto Cárdenas Zavala, director of the DIF Coahuila; Beatriz Fraustro Dávila, president of the DIF Saltillo Volunteers; and Daniel Samperio Dávila, director of the municipal DIF.

So far in 2023, these Macrobrigadas have provided more than 12,000 procedures and services, including property payments, water contracts, medical and dental consultations, free haircuts, rabies vaccinations and tick-killing baths for pets, legal guidance and psychological, recycling, and care modules from various municipal and state directorates.

A significant achievement has been the collection of more than 95 tons of waste material, benefiting more than 4,300 people through the “Saltillo Nos Une” Mercadito program, which allows the exchange of cleaning products.

Among the notable services provided by the Government of Coahuila are the Edusex Mobile Unit, the module for printing birth, marriage, death and divorce certificates, as well as attention to license plate and license procedures, orientation and issuance of No Record Letters Criminal, and the module of the State Institute of Education for Adults.
