At the European Championships for 49er sailors in Vilamoura (POR), Keanu Prettner and Jakob Flachberger got off to a strong start in the gold fleet. Their compatriots Benjamin Bildstein/David Hussl are heading for gold.
Benjamin Bildstein and David Hussl continue to maintain the lead after the first day of the gold fleet of the 49er European Championship off Vilamoura (POR). The OeSV athletes started the final series with second place and were thus able to extend their top position. Keanu Prettner and Jakob Flachberger from UYC Wolfgangsee moved up to seventh place overall with fifth and fourth places.
After a long wait for wind, at least two races of the 49er European Championship were completed on Saturday at six to eight knots. Prettner/Flachberger are ten points behind the Polish boat, which is in third place.
