An international seminar “Digital Engineering” was held at the Brest Science and Technology Park. The forum was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the creation of the IT sector of JSC Savushkin Product. However, the topic of the event went far beyond the anniversary meeting of colleagues. Two main demands of the time were considered.
The first part of the seminar focused on electronic document management and labeling of domestically produced goods. Basically, the speech concerned the requirements that our main trading partner, the Russian Federation, sets for suppliers.
The goal is to not lose the Russian market using modern methods of document management and labeling. The significance of the forum was emphasized by the high level of representation. The Minister of Communications and Information, Konstantin Shulgan, and the Deputy Minister of Taxes and Duties, Vladimir Mukvich, gave a welcoming speech to the participants of the seminar.
In a rapidly changing world, the prospects for the development of electronic document management within the framework of mutual trade with the EAEU member states have acquired a new meaning. A representative of the Russian company Operator-TsRPT LLC spoke about current and planned pilots on labeling product groups in the Russian Federation. An important topic was the integration of information systems of Belarus and Russia in the field of product traceability and veterinary medicine on the territory of the two countries.
The second section of the seminar considered the issues of automation and digitalization of all processes in the Belarusian economy. It was emphasized: digitalization today is the technological sovereignty of the state as a whole. Addressing representatives of industry and agriculture who arrived in Brest for the international forum, the Minister of Communications and Information of the Republic of Belarus Konstantin Shulgan said:
— Taking into account the presence of representatives of the real sector of the economy, everyone in the room understands: the main thing is that technologies bring economic benefits. We have developed the concept of national sovereignty of digital development, since since 2020 the conditions for our development in this direction have changed significantly – not only in terms of obtaining new technologies in the form of software products, but also in hardware.
In this regard, the need arose to develop a document that, at the state level, determines which path we will take next. The beginning on this path was Presidential Decree No. 136 on the government body in the field of digital development, which assigned our ministry additional functions of coordinating this area.
Its main goal is to build a digitalization management system. Without organizational and management work, the process will develop slowly or not at all. The vertical is as follows: when an initiative arises in your teams, there is a proposal that you would like to implement, contact the executive committees, initiate it together, and we will find a way to support this initiative.
The section included several fundamentally practical presentations. For example, Kaspersky Lab JSC introduced those present to the capabilities of a specialized industrial XDR platform for comprehensive protection of food industry enterprises. The unitary enterprise “A1” came to the seminar with a new A1 service for corporate clients – intelligent energy monitoring. Polesie State University presented the development of a “Digital Enterprise Passport”.
When digital is having fun
Outside the conference room, where the fateful issues of the day were discussed, the entertainment component of the forum took place. In addition to the delicacies that Savushkin Product is rich in, visitors were invited to observe wonders developed by the enterprise’s IT sector.
Imagine: a robot bartender pouring soft drinks. A robot from Taiwan arrived at Savushkin, but here it was adapted to the needs of production and learned to pour drinking yogurt. At the seminar, he “served” the tasting stand. There are 6 drinks with different flavors on the stand. There is an image of drinks on the screen.
To place an order, just click the “I want” button and select the number of cups – from one to three. The “bartender” from somewhere in the depths of the “body” hands out a container, with a confident hand takes a bottle of the chosen drink and carefully pours the yogurt into a disposable glass. His actions are delicate, considerate and intelligent in their own way; There is no doubt that the service is provided at the highest level.
The second entertainment is a digital chessboard.
“The first version of the robot chess player was also our development,” says Vladimir Khodor, head of the robotics bureau of JSC Savushkin Product. – She is well known to the residents of Brest. It is noticeable that the previous version looked different, but also handled chess well. Now the game has been modernized, a different robot plays, a touch model is installed. Now the robot is able not only to work according to some logic, but also to recognize the location of the pieces on the board, make a decision and make a move.
