Otzma Yehudit Knesset Member Responds to Hezbollah’s Attacks

In response to Hezbollah’s anti-tank fire at northern settlements, Knesset member Almog Cohen on behalf of Otzma Yehudit took to Twitter to share his thoughts. He emphasized the importance of unity in the face of this threat, stating, “The enemy smells weakness and as I said yesterday, the wolf lies in wait for its prey. Unity right now has operational importance! I want to win.”

Cohen also called for a strong response to Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, stating, “Nasrallah should receive an appropriate and not lax response.” He further commented on the attacks, mentioning, “In the west, fire sources and salt warehouses are fired. In the Middle East: they are destroying the neighborhood for all violations of sovereignty, by sea or land. Yes, they are destroying the neighborhood on its inhabitants.”

The tension in the region has escalated with the recent rocket attacks, causing alarms to sound in the area. The ongoing conflict has also resulted in casualties, with reports of a 23-year-old man being fatally wounded by a bullet in Kiryat Ata. In the north, six people were wounded by Hezbollah anti-tank fire, prompting the IDF to attack a house in southern Lebanon.

Amidst the fighting, other issues are still being addressed, such as a discussion on conversion and burial in the immigration and absorption committee. Additionally, in the capacity of the Minister of Transport, the Hawara bypass road was inaugurated, showcasing the ongoing development in the region.

As tensions continue to rise, it is clear that the situation in the region remains fluid, with further developments expected in the coming days.
