The Ioannina Regional Department of the Hellenic Red Cross is going to carry out an action to inform and raise public awareness of the value of prevention, early diagnosis and proper management of diabetes on Tuesday, November 14, on the occasion of World Diabetes Day.
The action will take place from 9 am to 1 pm in “Aigli” Park, (pedestrian street Sp. Katsadimas), in front of the Courthouse. Nurses from the Health Department of the University of Ioannina and volunteers will inform the public about the ways in which we can all prevent diabetes and its complications.
World Diabetes Day, celebrated every year on November 14, serves to remind everyone that Diabetes Mellitus is a growing global health threat. Prevention, early diagnosis and proper management play a decisive role in the quality of life and in increasing the life expectancy from the disease.
